Job summary

Sureway Construction Group Ltd. is seeking a Foreman for the Water & Sewer Division to supervise day-to-day operations on site in Edmonton and surrounding area.

This full-time seasonal role requires leadership of operators and labourers, ensuring schedules, safety and quality checks are met in a physically demanding environment. The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of Foreman experience in water and sewer projects, strong supervisory skills, and proficiency with CAT ET, SIS, Komatsu, Prosis, and

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of Foreman experience in Water & Sewer projects.
• Previous supervisory experience required.
• Must be proficient with CAT ET, SIS, Komatsu, Prosis and Service Advisor.
• Ability to read and troubleshoot hydraulic/electronic schematics.
• Must have reliable vehicle and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, supervise and manage day-to-day site operations.
• Supervise operators and labourers to meet schedules and timelines.
• Assist with troubleshooting on equipment and processes.
• Ensure equipment is maintained to high standards and conduct quality checks.
• Promote and adhere to safety programs across site teams.

(Water & Sewer Division)

Foreman (Water & Sewer Division) Sureway Construction is one of Alberta’s largest heavy construction contractors, with over 50 years’ experience, involved in civil earthworks and grading, utilities and offsite, mine operation and aggregate extraction.

Full Time, Seasonal

Schedule

10+ hours per day, 6 & 1, OT after 8hr/day or 44hr/week

Requirements

• Personal Reliable Vehicle
• CSA approved steel toed boots with 6” ankle support
• Clean Driver’s Abstract, Valid Driver’s License

Pre-employment

• Drug and alcohol testing (swab-based test)
• Successful completion of Company Orientation and site-specific orientation

Foreman Responsibilities

• Oversee, supervise and manage the day to day operations on site
• Supervisions of operators and labourers to ensure schedules and timelines are met
• Assist with troubleshooting
• Ensure equipment is maintained at the highest standards, in a timely manner
• Conduct performance and quality checks according to procedure
• Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture

Foreman Qualifications

• Must have between (5) and (10) years' experience as a Foreman (Water & Sewer).
• Must have previous supervisory experience
• Must have proficient with CAT E.T., S.I.S., Komatsu, Prosis and Service Advisor
• Ability to read/troubleshoot and diagnose using hydraulic and electronic schematics
• Must be open to new learning experiences
• Exceptional organization and cleanliness skills are REQUIRED
