Qualifications

  • 1–2 years in warehouse, shipping & receiving, logistics or material handling.
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain; experience with inventory systems is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of shipping, receiving, inventory control and order fulfillment processes.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate shipping and receiving activities, including picking, packing, staging, loading and documentation.
  • Receive, inspect, label, and distribute materials while addressing discrepancies or damage.
  • Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment per safety rules.

The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for the accurate and timely movement of materials, equipment, and documentation to support shop operations and inventory control. This role performs shipping, receiving, inventory, and material-handling activities while maintaining safe work practices, organized storage areas, and accurate transaction records.

DAY IN THE LIFE:
  • Coordinate shipping and receiving activities, including picking, packing, staging, loading, unloading, and preparing freight documentation
  • Receive, inspect, verify, label, and distribute materials and equipment while identifying and escalating discrepancies or damage
  • Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment in compliance with HSE and site requirements
  • Process inventory transactions, maintain tracking records, replenish stock, and support cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Maintain organized, hazard-free work areas, communicate material status and priorities with stakeholders, and support overtime and on call requirements as needed
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
  • High school diploma or GED required; vocational or technical training in warehousing, logistics, or a related field is an asset
  • 1-2 years of experience in warehouse, shipping & receiving, logistics, or material - handling operations
  • Forklift certification (or the ability to obtain certification) and experience with inventory or warehouse management systems are assets
  • Strong understanding of shipping, receiving, inventory control, order fulfillment, and material flow processes, with the ability to verify documentation and resolve discrepancies
  • Strong organizational, communication, and safety skills, with the ability to prioritize work, maintain accurate records, and collaborate effectively with warehouse, shop, yard, carrier, and office teams
