Job summary

PD Canada LP in Canada is seeking a Shipper/Receiver to manage shipping, receiving, and inventory control on-site. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and timely documentation as part of shop operations.

You will handle materials, coordinate with teams, and uphold organized workflows in a fast-paced environment. The position requires a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years in related warehousing activities; forklift certification is preferred or obtainable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; vocational/technical training in warehousing or logistics is a plus.
• 1-2 years of experience in warehouse, shipping & receiving, logistics, or material handling.
• Forklift certification (or ability to obtain) and familiarity with inventory/warehouse management systems.
• Strong organizational, communication, and safety skills with the ability to prioritize and document work.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate shipping and receiving activities, including picking, packing, staging, loading, unloading, and freight documentation.
• Receive, inspect, verify, label, and distribute materials and equipment; identify discrepancies or damage.
• Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment per HSE and site requirements.
• Process inventory transactions, maintain tracking records, replenish stock, and support cycle counts.
• Maintain hazard-free work areas and communicate material status and priorities with stakeholders.

The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for the accurate and timely movement of materials, equipment, and documentation to support shop operations and inventory control. This role performs shipping, receiving, inventory, and material-handling activities while maintaining safe work practices, organized storage areas, and accurate transaction records.

Day In The Life

• Coordinate shipping and receiving activities, including picking, packing, staging, loading, unloading, and preparing freight documentation
• Receive, inspect, verify, label, and distribute materials and equipment while identifying and escalating discrepancies or damage
• Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment in compliance with HSE and site requirements
• Process inventory transactions, maintain tracking records, replenish stock, and support cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure inventory accuracy
• Maintain organized, hazard-free work areas, communicate material status and priorities with stakeholders, and support overtime and on call requirements as needed

What We Need From You

• High school diploma or GED required; vocational or technical training in warehousing, logistics, or a related field is an asset
• 1-2 years of experience in warehouse, shipping & receiving, logistics, or material-handling operations
• Forklift certification (or the ability to obtain certification) and experience with inventory or warehouse management systems are assets
• Strong understanding of shipping, receiving, inventory control, order fulfillment, and material flow processes, with the ability to verify documentation and resolve discrepancies
• Strong organizational, communication, and safety skills, with the ability to prioritize work, maintain accurate records, and collaborate effectively with warehouse, shop, yard, carrier, and office teams
