Job summary

Starbucks Shift Supervisor assists the store manager in executing store operations during scheduled shifts and leads partners to deliver the Starbucks Experience with legendary customer service, prompt service, quality beverages and a clean, welcoming store.

You will model Starbucks guiding principles, delegate tasks, train new partners, coach performance, and help maintain a Third Place environment during each shift.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in a retail or restaurant environment.
• Ability to direct the work of others.
• Ability to learn quickly.
• Effective oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of the retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Acts with integrity and promotes Starbucks culture and values.
• Maintains calm demeanor during high volume periods to keep store operations on standard.
• Anticipates customer and store needs and responds to cues.
• Communicates information to manager for shift responses and Third Place environment.
• Assists with new partner training and provides coaching.
• Delivers legendary customer service and ensures customer connections.
• Schedules and executes opening/closing duties and follows cash handling policies.
• Maintains attendance, punctuality, and adherence to safety and sanitation guidelines.
