Job summary

Subway - 30201-0 is seeking a Shift Manager to lead guest experience, ensure food safety, maintain a clean and welcoming restaurant, manage inventory, and supervise staff. You will be responsible for maintaining smooth operations across shifts and coordinating team activities.

The role includes cascading training to Sandwich Artists on existing and new responsibilities, scheduling and supervising staff, inventory controls, ensuring equipment is functional, and handling paperwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of restaurant experience.

In addition to the role of a typical Sandwich Artist®, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Cascading training to Sandwich Artists™ on existing and new responsibilities
• Scheduling and supervising staff
• Practicing inventory control standards
• Ensuring equipment is in proper working order during shift
• Completing paperwork as needed

PREREQUISITES

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a restaurant environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Communication and organizational skills

Physical: Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
