Job summary

Subway is seeking a Shift Manager/Team Member in Ontario (Elora) to lead daily operations, oversee food preparation, maintain cleanliness, manage inventory, and supervise staff during day/evening/weekend shifts. You will train Sandwich Artists, ensure equipment works, and complete paperwork as needed.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of restaurant experience. This role offers varied full-time/part-time shift options based on location.

In addition to the role of a typical Sandwich Artist®, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Cascading training to Sandwich Artists™ on existing and new responsibilities
• Scheduling and supervising staff
• Practicing inventory control standards
• Ensuring equipment is in proper working order during shift
• Completing paperwork as needed

PREREQUISITES

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

A minimum of 1 year of experience in a restaurant environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Communication and organizational skills

Physical

Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
