Job summary

Starbucks in Surrey, BC is seeking a Shift Supervisor to support the store manager during scheduled shifts and lead partners to deliver the Starbucks Experience. You will deploy teammates, delegate tasks, and model the company’s values while maintaining a clean, welcoming store environment.

You’ll provide coaching, support baristas, and ensure consistent, high-quality beverages and service, while upholding safety and cash handling procedures.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in a retail or restaurant environment is required.
• Ability to direct the work of others and supervise shift staff.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing demands on shift.
• Effective oral communication skills with customers and teammates.
• Knowledge of the retail environment and operations.
• Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork ability.
• Ability to work as part of a team and support store objectives.

Responsibilities

• Acts with integrity and promotes Starbucks culture and mission.
• Maintain a calm demeanor during high volume periods to keep operations on standard.
• Anticipate customer/store needs and respond to cues during shifts.
• Communicate information to the manager for a seamless shift environment.
• Assist with partner training and provide constructive feedback.
• Provide feedback on partner performance to the store manager.
• Deliver legendary customer service and ensure timely, quality beverage and food products.
• Organize opening and closing duties and follow cash handling policies.
• Ensure health, safety and sanitation guidelines are followed.
