Job summary

Steele Auto Group's Steele Honda is seeking a Service Valet to join our team in St. John's, NL. You will play a vital role in delivering a smooth service experience for our clients, handling vehicle drop-offs and pickups, coordinating with the washbay, and tagging keys with care.

This outdoor role requires the ability to drive manual transmission vehicles, work in varying weather, and communicate effectively. Overtime is possible; a Class 4 license with a clean driving record is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.

• Team-oriented with reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Able to drive manual transmission vehicles and hold a clean Class 4 license.

Responsibilities

• Assist service clients with vehicle drop-off and pick-up.
• Ensure proper sanitization of client vehicles.
• Collaborate with the washbay team and assist with washing vehicles.
• Take ownership of tasks and find ways to add value to the role.
• Greet customers promptly at the service drive-thru.
• Collect accurate vehicle information for key tags.
• Perform vehicle walkarounds and note concerns.
• Tag keys, park vehicles, and return them to customers after service.
• Perform additional duties such as snow removal and walkway clearing.

Steele Honda is seeking Service Valet to join our team!

As a Service Valet with Steele Honda, you will play a vital role in ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for our service customers. In this role, you will have the opportunity to showcase your customer service expertise while contributing to our commitment to delivering exceptional service and enhancing our client’s experience.

Please Note: This role may require over-time hours and is not eligible for participation in the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) due to the specific National Occupational Classifications (NOC) requirements.

What You Will Do:

• Assist service clients with vehicle drop-off and pick-up in a safe and efficient manner.
• Ensure proper sanitization of client vehicles in accordance with guidelines.
• Collaborate with the washbay team when necessary, including washing vehicles.
• Contribute to enhancing the store’s reputation by taking ownership of new tasks and exploring ways to add value to job accomplishments.
• Greet customers promptly upon arrival in the service drive-thru.
• Collect accurate vehicle information for key tags.
• Perform vehicle walkarounds, noting any significant areas of concern.
• Tag keys, park vehicles, and return them to customers upon completion of service.
• Perform additional duties as required, such as snow removal and walkway clearing.

What you Bring:

• Ability to drive manual shift vehicles.
• Capable of working outside in various weather conditions.
• Strong ability to work independently, with effective time management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
• Consistent attendance record.
• Class 4 driver license is required with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work overtime (shifts from 7AM-5:30PM)
