Job summary

Black & McDonald Limited is seeking a Service Administrator/Dispatcher to coordinate dispatch of Service Technicians for the Edmonton Service Division. You will support labour time entry, work orders, purchase orders, materials coordination, invoicing, reporting, and backlog management.

The role liaises between field staff, office personnel, customers, vendors, and internal departments to ensure efficient service delivery.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary diploma/certificate in Administration preferred.
• Additional courses in customer service and/ or dispatching a plus.
• Experience with dispatching and service operations is desired.

Responsibilities

• Receive, prioritize, and coordinate customer service requests.
• Dispatch and schedule Service Technicians to support customer and operational needs.
• Maintain on-call schedules and after-hours coordination as required.
• Create and maintain work orders and purchase orders per procedures.
• Process technician labor hours accurately and timely.
• Coordinate procurement of parts, materials, and subcontractor services.
• Monitor backlogs and ensure timely follow-up and completion.
• Support invoicing by ensuring work orders are complete and bill-ready.
• Generate and distribute operational and service reports.
• Maintain records for tools, keys, and assets assigned to technicians.
