Job summary

Randstad Canada is seeking a Senior Service & UX Designer to lead high-impact public sector digital initiatives from Edmonton with full remote flexibility across Canada. You will guide human-centered design across enterprise systems, modernization projects, and public portals, shaping service models and improving digital access for thousands of users.

This is a 12-month assignment with potential extension up to two years, in an agile environment with product managers, developers and business

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior UX or Service Designer leading end-to-end design initiatives for web platforms.
• Proficient in prototyping, wireframing, user journey mapping, and enterprise design systems.
• Experience with user research, stakeholder workshops, and usability evaluations.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards including WCAG 2.2 AA.
• Experience in cross-functional Agile teams and enterprise platforms like Dynamics 365.

Responsibilities

• Lead human-centered design activities for digital platforms including Microsoft Dynamics 365 based systems and public portals.
• Plan user research, stakeholder interviews, workshops, and usability testing to inform design decisions.
• Create journey maps and service blueprints to identify service improvements across user pathways.
• Translate user and business requirements into wireframes, user flows, information architecture, and interactive prototypes.
• Design accessible, responsive user interfaces across enterprise applications and public web tools.
• Maintain enterprise design systems, including component libraries, interaction patterns, and visual standards.
• Apply WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards throughout the design lifecycle and conduct design reviews.
