Finning Canada in Edmonton, Alberta, is seeking a Service Operations Advisor to join the Corporate Service Operations team. You will support the performance and continuous improvement of our service operations, collaborating with facility leadership and cross-functional teams to strengthen processes and drive Service Excellence.

The role reports to the Corporate Service Operations Supervisor and centers on analyzing performance, developing best practices, and sustaining accurate Service M3 data

  • Analyze reports and KPIs to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support branch audits and help facility teams strengthen understanding and execution of service processes.
  • Apply change management strategies for operational improvements.
  • Complete reporting, initiatives, and projects on time.

We are looking for a Service Operations Advisor to join our Corporate Service Operations team in Edmonton. In this role, you will support the performance and continuous improvement of our service operations, working closely with facility leadership and cross-functional teams to strengthen processes, improve efficiencies, and drive Service Excellence.

Reporting to the Corporate Service Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for an assigned Service Operations portfolio, providing expertise, analyzing performance and processes, developing best practices, and supporting initiatives that improve financial, operational, customer, and safety outcomes.

Please note: This is a Monday to Friday, in-office position based in Edmonton, Alberta.

Job Description
What You’ll Do
  • Provide corporate-level support and subject matter expertise for an assigned Service Operations portfolio, including service processes, M3 functionality, quality assurance, financial impacts, project support, and system enhancements.
  • Partner with operational facility management teams to identify opportunities and improve performance across key service processes.
  • Develop, communicate, and maintain best practices that help facilities achieve Service Excellence.
  • Analyze operational processes, reports, and Key Performance Indicators to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support branch audits and help facility teams strengthen their understanding and execution of service processes.
  • Apply change management strategies to support the successful implementation and adoption of operational improvements.
  • Complete reporting, initiatives, and assigned projects accurately and on time.
  • Maintain the integrity and accuracy of Service M3 data and processes.
  • Collaborate across departments and business groups to identify and initiate continuous improvement projects.
  • Implement, monitor, and sustain operational changes resulting from improvement initiatives.
  • Build strong, professional relationships across all levels of the organization while managing sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
  • Promote and adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety expectations.
What We’re Looking For

The successful candidate will bring a combination of service operations knowledge, systems aptitude, analytical ability, and strong relationship-building skills.

You will have:
  • Strong knowledge of service operations processes and practices.
  • Operational experience with a strong understanding of service delivery models.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and technical understanding.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of an organization.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and creative-thinking abilities.
  • The ability to analyze reports, processes, and Key Performance Indicators and translate findings into actionable improvements.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • The ability to work independently and influence others to achieve results.Experience supporting or implementing change management initiatives.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and a strong aptitude for learning business systems.
  • An understanding of accounting principles and their application within an operational environment.
  • The ability to develop, maintain, and communicate operational reports and documentation.
Assets

Experience or knowledge in the following areas would be considered an asset:

  • INFOR Smart Office / M3 for Service.
  • Kronos or similar workforce/time-management systems.
  • Service-related reporting and KPI development.
  • Continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Change management training or coursework.
  • Post‑secondary education in business, operations, technology, engineering, or another related discipline.
