Job summary

Shift Auto Group’s Dartmouth Mitsubishi is opening as the first automotive dealership in Dartmouth Crossing, across from IKEA Halifax. We seek a Service Advisor to connect guests with the Service Department, delivering professional, transparent service from check-in to delivery.

You’ll help build lasting customer relationships, coordinate repairs, and support OEM standards while growing with one of Atlantic Canada’s fastest-growing automotive groups.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive service or dealership experience is an asset.
• Exceptional customer service with professionalism and empathy.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Comfortable using DMS, CRM, and service software.
• Commitment to learning, growth, and delivering results.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and manage the full service experience from check-in to vehicle delivery.
• Build relationships through honest and transparent communication.
• Prepare repair orders, estimates, and service documentation.
• Explain maintenance and repairs clearly and confidently.
• Coordinate with Technicians to ensure accurate repairs and updates.
• Collaborate with Parts to source components and support workflow.
• Handle inquiries via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
• Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.

What You’ll Do

As a Service Advisor, you'll be the key connection between our guests and the Service Department, ensuring every customer receives a professional, transparent, and seamless service experience. You'll help build lasting relationships by communicating vehicle needs, coordinating repairs, and delivering outstanding service from check-in to vehicle delivery.

• Welcoming guests and managing the complete service experience from appointment scheduling through vehicle delivery
• Building strong customer relationships through professional, honest, and transparent communication
• Preparing accurate repair orders, estimates, and service documentation
• Explaining recommended maintenance, repairs, and value-added services clearly and confidently
• Communicating with Technicians to ensure accurate repairs and timely customer updates
• Coordinating with the Parts Department to source required components and support efficient workflow
• Managing customer inquiries through phone, email, and in-person interactions
• Following up with customers after service visits to ensure satisfaction and encourage long-term loyalty
• Supporting preventative maintenance recommendations and genuine Mitsubishi service solutions
• Maintaining accurate records while ensuring dealership processes and OEM standards are followed
• Contributing to a collaborative Service Department focused on customer satisfaction and continuous improvement

What We’re Looking For

• Has previous automotive service, customer service, or dealership experience (an asset)
• Provides exceptional customer service with professionalism, empathy, and integrity
• Has strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Is organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
• Thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
• Demonstrates reliability, accountability, and a positive team-first attitude
• Is comfortable using Dealer Management Systems (DMS), CRM platforms, and service software
• Has a commitment to learning, growth, and delivering exceptional results
• Holds a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Previous Service Advisor experience is considered an asset; however, candidates with strong customer service skills and a passion for the automotive industry are encouraged to apply.
