Bayview Kenworth in Fredericton, NB, is seeking an Evening Service Writer who is confident, energetic, and customer-focused. You will greet customers, open repair orders with detailed vehicle concerns, verify recalls, and communicate with technicians to resolve issues quickly.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years Automotive / Truck dealership experience.
• Excellent Customer Service Skills with the ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong computer skills with Windows-based programs, MS Excel & Word; KARMAK experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome customers and open repair orders with accurate information.
• Coordinate with Service Foreman and technicians to maintain clear customer communication throughout the repair process.
• Verify warranty recalls or campaigns and determine eligibility; process warranty claims.
• Ensure accurate charging and posting to enable timely close of repair orders.
• Identify preventative maintenance opportunities and schedule with customers.
• Maintain an organized workspace and adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Perform additional administrative duties as assigned by the Service Manager or Foreman.

Job description

Reporting to the Service Manager, the Evenign Service Writer is a confident, energetic, CUSTOMER FOCUSED member of the Service department.

• Greet and WELCOME customers.
• Open Repair orders with accurate and thorough information, including the details of the vehicle concerns, to assist with proper diagnosis.
• Verify open warranty recalls or campaigns available for the customer.
• Confirm Warranty eligibility and process the warranty claims.
• Work with Service Foreman and technicians to maintain clear communication with the customer and ensure that their concerns are addressed quickly.
• Maintain this communication with the customers throughout the repair process, including, the customer’s approval of the repair, an estimate of the cost and an expected time of completion.
• Ensure all charges are calculated and posted with accuracy to ensure timely close of Repair Orders
• Identify possible upcoming Preventative Maintenance services with customers and schedule for them.
• Maintain an organized work space and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Other administrative duties as assigned by the Service Manager or Foreman.

Required Experience / Skill Set

• Strong computer skills with an emphasis on Windows based programs and MS Excel & Word. Experience with KARMAK is an Asset
• Minimum of 3 years Automotive / Truck dealership experience.
• Excellent Customer Service Skills with the ability to prioritize and focus in a fast-paced environment
