Bayview Kubota in Fredericton, NB is seeking an Evening Service Writer to join our Service department. You will be a confident, energetic, customer-focused member of the team, coordinating repair orders and communicating with customers throughout the process.

This role requires strong computer skills (Windows, Excel, Word) and at least 3 years in automotive/truck dealership environments. You will greet customers, verify recalls, open orders, prepare estimates, and ensure accurate billing while

• Strong computer skills with Windows-based programs and MS Excel & Word.
• Minimum of 3 years Automotive / Truck dealership experience.
• Excellent Customer Service Skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome customers.
• Open repair orders with accurate and thorough information, including vehicle concerns.
• Verify open warranty recalls or campaigns available for the customer.
• Confirm warranty eligibility and process the warranty claims.
• Coordinate with Service Foreman and technicians; maintain clear communication with the customer.
• Update customers on repair progress, estimates and expected completion time.
• Ensure all charges are calculated and posted accurately for timely closing of repair orders.
• Identify upcoming Preventative Maintenance services and schedule them.
• Maintain an organized workspace and adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Perform other administrative duties as assigned.

Job description

Reporting to the Service Manager, the Evenign Service Writer is a confident, energetic, CUSTOMER FOCUSED member of the Service department.

• Greet and WELCOME customers.
• Open Repair orders with accurate and thorough information, including the details of the vehicle concerns, to assist with proper diagnosis.
• Verify open warranty recalls or campaigns available for the customer.
• Confirm Warranty eligibility and process the warranty claims.
• Work with Service Foreman and technicians to maintain clear communication with the customer and ensure that their concerns are addressed quickly.
• Maintain this communication with the customers throughout the repair process, including, the customer’s approval of the repair, an estimate of the cost and an expected time of completion.
• Ensure all charges are calculated and posted with accuracy to ensure timely close of Repair Orders
• Identify possible upcoming Preventative Maintenance services with customers and schedule for them.
• Maintain an organized work space and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Other administrative duties as assigned by the Service Manager or Foreman.

Required Experience / Skill Set

• Strong computer skills with an emphasis on Windows based programs and MS Excel & Word. Experience with KARMAK is an Asset
• Minimum of 3 years Automotive / Truck dealership experience.
• Excellent Customer Service Skills with the ability to prioritize and focus in a fast-paced environment

Experience:

• Service Advisor: Minimum 2 years
