Job summary

Sargent & Lundy seeks an experienced engineer to design underground transmission lines up to 500 kV, develop duct bank layouts, and prepare installation specifications. You will coordinate with vendors and clients and lead a small project team of engineers, designers and drafters.

The role emphasizes design to codes and standards, cost and schedule awareness, and ability to work in a hybrid environment with relocation support where applicable.

Qualifications

• This position requires a BS degree from a CEAB- or ABET-accredited program.
• Proficiency with CYMCAP modeling and cable tensioning software.
• 7+ years on underground transmission projects with schedules and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Design underground transmission lines up to 500 kV.
• Develop duct bank layouts, trenchless design, and manhole placement.
• Prepare specifications for installation and procurement of components.
• Coordinate with vendors and clients on transmission line components.
• Lead a small project team of engineers, designers and drafters.
