Job summary

Sargent & Lundy, L.L.C. is seeking an experienced transmission line engineer to design lines from 69kV to 765kV and perform structural, foundation, and conductor studies.

You will develop cost estimates, schedules, and specifications for procurement while modeling lines in PLS-CADD and reviewing vendor submittals. The role requires 3+ years of related experience, proficiency in PLS tools, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• This position requires a degree from a CEAB-accredited undergraduate program or ABET-accredited program.
• 3+ years of related transmission line engineering experience.
• Proficiency with PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design transmission lines in the 69kV to 765kV range.
• Perform structural analysis and design of pole, lattice, framed, and guyed structures.
• Perform foundation designs.
• Model transmission lines in PLS-CADD and determine right of way requirements.
• Review vendor submittals.
