Manulife is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager for its New Business & Underwriting Platform. You will coordinate across engineering, architecture, product, and risk teams to drive complex technology initiatives in insurance underwriting.

The role emphasizes risk mitigation, governance, and measurable outcomes across the full delivery lifecycle. The ideal candidate has 7+ years in technical program management, deep insurance knowledge, and the ability to translate complex requirements

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in technical program management or a similar role.
• Strong insurance industry experience with underwriting processes.
• Proven success leading complex, cross-functional technology initiatives.
• Knowledge of software delivery lifecycles, architectures, and integrations.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, prioritization, and execution of technology initiatives across New Business and Underwriting workflows.
• Manage initiatives through full delivery lifecycle from planning to post-launch review.
• Define scope, objectives, milestones, governance, and success measures with stakeholders.
• Coordinate across engineering, architecture, product, operations, security, risk, business, vendor, and external teams.
• Build integrated delivery plans with milestones, dependencies, resources, and commitments.
• Identify risks, issues, blockers, and dependencies; drive mitigation and decisions.
• Serve as escalation point; help teams resolve challenges before impact.
• Facilitate planning sessions, status reviews, and retrospectives with clear owners and actions.
• Understand solution architecture, integrations, sequencing, and non-functional requirements.
• Manage changes to scope, schedules, and delivery approaches with impact assessments.
• Establish governance and reporting for visibility into progress and risk.
• Track program performance and use metrics to improve predictability and quality.
• Coordinate release, change-management, and operational-readiness activities.
• Lead post-implementation reviews and improve delivery practices.
