Job summary

High Tech Genesis seeks a Senior Technical Recruiter to lead full-cycle technical recruitment across IT, software development, infrastructure, and hardware engineering for both public-sector and private-sector clients in Ottawa. You will manage multiple mandates, build pipelines, and deliver highly qualified candidates within tight timelines.

You will source via LinkedIn, referrals, job boards, and targeted mapping, conduct technical screenings, and coordinate interview processes with clients.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in technical recruitment, preferably within a staffing agency, consulting firm, or contract recruitment environment.
• Proven experience recruiting for IT, software development, infrastructure, and/or hardware engineering positions.
• Experience supporting both public-sector and private-sector recruitment mandates.
• Strong understanding of technical job requirements and the ability to assess candidates’ qualifications against client needs.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent requisitions in a deadline-driven environment.
• Experience recruiting contract consultants and technical professionals for client projects.
• Strong sourcing, interviewing, candidate assessment, and relationship-management skills.
• Experience using ATS/CRM platforms, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other recruitment tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruitment for technical contract and consulting positions, from intake and sourcing through candidate submission, interviews, and placement.
• Recruit across a broad range of technical disciplines, including IT & Infrastructure, Software & Application Development, and Hardware & Engineering.
• Source candidates through LinkedIn, professional networks, referrals, job boards, and proactive talent mapping.
• Conduct technical screening interviews to assess candidates’ skills, experience, communication abilities, and suitability for mandates.
• Manage multiple open requisitions simultaneously while prioritizing urgent requirements and meeting submission deadlines.
• Build and maintain strong candidate pipelines for current and future needs.
• Prepare concise, high-quality candidate summaries and submit profiles to clients promptly.
• Coordinate interviews, gather feedback, manage expectations, and maintain communication throughout the process.
• Work with sales and account management to align recruitment priorities with client requirements.
• Maintain accurate candidate records and recruitment activity in the ATS/CRM, and monitor KPIs.
