Job summary

High Tech Genesis Inc. in Ottawa is seeking a skilled Technical Recruiter to source, screen and place IT and engineering talent across multiple projects.

You will manage applicant pipelines in an ATS, conduct structured interviews, collaborate with hiring managers, and build a strong talent network while ensuring an accessible, inclusive recruitment process for candidates.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of experience as a Technical Recruiter in IT/engineering domains.

• Using industry-leading tools and platforms to identify and engage passive candidates.

• Building long-term relationships with candidates and maintaining a strong talent pipeline for future needs.

In this role, you will:

• Conducting structured interviews to assess candidates’ technical abilities, experience, and cultural fit.
• Documenting interview outcomes, recruiter notes, and feedback in a clear and organized manner.
• Using industry-leading tools and platforms to identify and engage passive candidates.
• Collaborating closely with hiring managers and technical teams to ensure alignment throughout the recruitment process.
• Building long-term relationships with candidates and maintaining a strong talent pipeline for future needs.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal in French and English
• 3 to 5 years of experience as a Technical Recruiter, ideally within the IT, software, or engineering domains
• Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices and a genuine interest in technology
• Proven ability to identify and engage qualified candidates through multiple channels (LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, referrals, events, etc.)
• Experience managing candidate flow and reporting in an ATS environment
• Ability to advise candidates on job expectations, company culture, and employment terms
• Skilled in evaluating candidate fit through competency-based interviews
• Solid organizational skills and attention to detail when managing multiple open roles
• Experience recruiting for software, cloud, or engineering roles is a strong asset
