Job summary

Affirm, Inc. is seeking a Senior Staff Sales Engineer to help enterprise merchants design and implement scalable, reliable solutions on the Affirm platform. You’ll lead technical discovery, analyze requirements, and support pre-sale activities to win deals.

You will work with the Merchant Engineering team, collaborating with sales, engineering, and product to develop merchant solutions and serve as a trusted advisor. Travel up to 30% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in business/technology or related field.
• Strong understanding of API integrations and SaaS platforms.
• Experience with checkout and payment systems is preferred.
• Ability to architect and explain complex technical solutions.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as subject matter expert on Affirm integration solutions and merchant checkout.
• Architect end-to-end solutions addressing complex merchant challenges.
• Build trust with technical counterparts and executives.
• Partner with sales and partner teams to drive opportunities for large customers.
• Influence product development with actionable customer insights.
• Create scalable processes, assets, and training for go-to-market.
• Provide architectural input to sales planning and forecasting.
• Develop pre-sales material and demos as needed.
