Job summary

Affirm is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to join our Merchant Engineering team. This remote-first role, open to candidates in Canada, will lead technical discovery, architect scalable payment solutions, and serve as a trusted advisor to enterprise merchants.

You will collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Product to win deals and drive platform adoption. You will develop compelling technical narratives, design end-to-end integrations, and influence product direction with customer feedback.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in business/technology or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years in Sales Engineering, Solution Architecture, Partner Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or related roles.
• 3+ years in the payments, fintech, or closely related industry.
• Experience with ecommerce checkout processes and payment systems.
• Strong technical acumen and ability to position complex solutions to customers.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the subject matter expert on Affi's integration solutions and merchant checkout.
• Architect end-to-end solutions addressing merchant challenges and tailor designs accordingly.
• Build trust with Enterprise & Key merchants and foster long-term relationships.
• Partner with sales and partner engineering to drive opportunities for large customers.
• Influence product management by providing customer insights and prioritizing features.
• Create and share best practices, reusable assets, and pre-sales materials.
• Demo development and presenting custom demos as required.
