Job summary

Focus Systems Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a large-scale transformational program and additional initiatives in Regina.

The role requires coordinating multiple workstreams, governing scope, cost, schedule, and quality, and delivering executive reporting with cross-functional teams and external vendors. The candidate will drive performance across deliverables, risks, and dependencies, ensuring alignment with business objectives and governance standards throughout

Qualifications

• Seven years of proven IT program or project management experience as a project manager overseeing multiple concurrent projects.
• Project management education and/or certification such as PMP.
• Seven years of proven vendor management experience.
• Seven years of proven experience managing cross-functional project teams.
• Experience managing predictive, agile, and hybrid projects.
• Availability and ability to work primarily on-site at the Regina location for the engagement.

Responsibilities

• Manage integrated project plans and coordinate activities and interdependencies across multiple workstreams.
• Own project performance across scope, cost, schedule, deliverables, change control, risks, and issues.
• Manage external vendors, including delivery planning, schedule management, status reporting, governance approvals, and issue resolution.
• Collaborate with business, IT, organizational change management, and other core project team members to align goals and delivery.
• Orchestrate program and project activities, resolve delivery challenges with workstream leads, and reinforce processes and expectations.
• Identify, assess, manage, and mitigate risks affecting scope, schedule, budget, quality, and business outcomes.
• Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and accountability for work, deliverables, milestones, and commitments.
• Ensure deliverables satisfy approved business requirements and meet quality, compliance, and organizational expectations.
• Create and manage the overall project budget.
• Provide timely, accurate reporting to sponsors, executives, steering committees, governance bodies, and other stakeholders.
• Escalate challenges and recommend actions for informed decisions and prompt resolution.
• Maintain complete project documentation (charters, plans, schedules, budgets, governance materials, logs, status reports, change requests, lessons learned, closure records).

Focus Systems is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager professional to support a large-scale transformational project and other assigned projects.

If you have strong experience managing complex IT programs and projects, coordinating multiple workstreams, leading external vendors and cross-functional teams, and providing disciplined governance and executive reporting, this is an opportunity to help deliver high-impact transformation work in Regina.

• Work Arrangement: Primarily on-site for the duration of the engagement, with consideration of occasional off-site work
• Renewal Options: Two additional one-year renewals

Role Overview

The Senior Project Manager will support the successful delivery of a large-scale transformational project and other assigned initiatives. The successful candidate will manage the integrated project plan, coordinate activities across multiple workstreams, identify and manage interdependencies, and drive actions, decisions, risks, issues, and dependencies to timely resolution.

Working closely with business and technology leaders, vendors, project teams, the Enterprise Project Management Office, and executive sponsors, the successful candidate will provide overall project performance leadership across scope, cost, schedule, quality, governance, documentation, and delivery outcomes.

Mandatory Qualifications

• Minimum of seven years of proven IT program or project management experience as a project manager managing multiple concurrent projects.
• Project management education and/or certification such as PMP.
• Minimum seven years of proven vendor management experience.
• Minimum seven years of proven experience managing cross-functional project teams.
• Experience managing predictive, agile, and hybrid projects.
• Availability and ability to work primarily on-site at the Regina location for the duration of the engagement.
