Job summary

Saskatchewan Ltd. in Regina (onsite) is seeking a non-permanent, full-time Senior Project Manager to plan, manage, and deliver information technology solutions and infrastructure in alignment with ministry plans and Government of Saskatchewan standards.

You will lead cross‑functional teams, coordinate consultants and ministry staff, identify and address issues, and ensure clear communication with clients while managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• PM certification (PMP or PRINCE2) required.
• 6+ years of progressive project management experience.
• Experience managing IT projects and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Job description

The Opportunity:

The Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement’s Information Technology Division provides services to the public and to ministries across government, supporting efforts to strengthen Saskatchewan’s economy and improve quality of life for its citizens. The IT Project Delivery Office within the Digital Solutions Branch is seeking a dynamic, innovative, and strategic professional to join the team as a non-permanent, full-time Senior Project Manager.

Reporting to the Manager, IT Project Delivery, this onsite position is based in Regina, Saskatchewan.

This position is responsible for planning, managing, and delivering information technology solutions and infrastructure in alignment with ministry plans, approved schedules, and Government of Saskatchewan standards. You will be accountable for delivering assigned projects while maintaining clear communication with clients and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle. Delivery of solution design and system implementation will be achieved through the coordination and management of consultants, contractors, and ministry staff. Project Managers are typically responsible for managing either large, complex IT projects or multiple smaller IT initiatives concurrently.

You will identify, assess, and respond to issues and concerns raised by project stakeholders, working collaboratively to build shared understanding and achieve resolution. You will also provide guidance and coaching to a diverse group of employees, supporting the team in meeting its goals and objectives while maintaining a healthy, productive, and respectful work environment.

The knowledge and skills required for this position are typically acquired through professional project management certification from a recognized organization such as the Project Management Institute (PMI) or PRINCE2. As the successful candidate, you will possess a PMP or PRINCE2 certification and several years of experience managing large projects.

You will have at least 6 years of extensive and progressive project management experience in preparing detailed project plans for information technology solutions and managing the project throughout the lifecycle, for both small and large multimillion dollar projects. Your experience should be current and speak of the complexity of the projects that you managed.
