Job summary

Ledcor Construction, Inc. is seeking a Senior Superintendent to oversee day-to-day field operations for power utility construction projects.

You will champion project plans, monitor performance, and anticipate client needs, driving solutions across multiple teams. The role requires extensive powerline construction experience and a proven ability to lead, mentor, and coordinate staff while maintaining high quality and safety standards on complex projects in Canada.

Qualifications

• Fifteen years of powerline construction experience and at least five years as a superintendent.
• Post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong understanding of utilities construction practices, documents, contracts, and budgets.
• Ability to plan and manage project schedules, anticipate constructability issues, and develop solutions for complex situations.
• Effective, persuasive communication with stakeholders while leading diverse teams.
• Track record of building and guiding high-performing teams; prior staff supervision.
• Valid driver’s license (clean driving record).
• Experience on industrial/oil & gas, or mining projects.

Responsibilities

• Ensure projects are built per approved plans, specs, and codes; lead PQP development and conformance.
• Lead development of the Project Specific Safety Program and incident investigations.
• Review and update construction schedules for large, complex projects and ensure milestones are met.
• Estimate durations and materials for multi-discipline estimates; assist with scheduling and labor planning for pursuits.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to project staff and superintendents across teams.
• Participate in subcontract and supplier selection, procurement and negotiations.
