Job summary

Ledcor is seeking a Superintendent in Ontario with extensive powerline construction experience and at least 5 years in a superintendent role. You will lead project staff, ensure safety, schedule, and budget adherence, and manage field operations across industrial projects.

Travel and living allowances are provided, with a strong emphasis on safety and stakeholder relations. The role requires a Journeyperson Powerline Technician certification and deep knowledge of codes, budgets, and change

Qualifications

• Combination of work experience in a similar role and industry related trade certification/education.
• Knowledge of construction costs and budgets.
• Strong safety record and the ability to work with a variety of individuals.
• Ability to plan and manage a project schedule.
• Influence client and/or organizational leadership to accomplish operational objectives.
• Anticipate problems or challenges, propose innovative solutions, and ensure solutions are consistent with project objectives.

Responsibilities

• Hire and manage hourly employees as required to complete the project in consultation with the Project Manager
• Ensure that site safety measures meet or exceed the parameters set out by corporate safety manual, Workers' Compensation Board or any other authorities
• Ensure that projects are built according to approved plans, specifications, applicable building codes, and that efficiency in labour and materials maintain high quality standards
• Review, maintain and update the construction schedule and ensure milestone and completion dates are met
• Plan and execute system completion and system turnover
• Maintain, approve, and submit hourly digital timesheets with all necessary details for job costing and reporting purposes
• Prepare field change orders to be signed by project owner or representative when requested
• Review subtrade/supplier invoices against the field purchase orders and report any discrepancies to the Project Manager or the accounting department
• Manage the safety and performance of subtrade work
• Perform other related duties as assigned
