Job summary

Ledcor Construction, Inc. in Ontario is seeking a Superintendent to guide project staff and ensure safety, quality, and on-time, on-budget delivery on industrial/powerline projects.

You will hire hourly workers, manage safety, review schedules, handle field changes, and coordinate with the Project Manager and subs; a background in powerline work and related certifications will be highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Certified Journeyperson Powerline Technician.
• 15+ years of powerline construction experience and 5+ years as a superintendent.
• Combination of work experience in a similar role and industry related trade certification/education.
• Experience on industrial/oil & gas, or mining projects and asset management.

Responsibilities

• Hire and manage hourly employees as required to complete the project in consultation with the Project Manager.
• Ensure site safety measures meet or exceed safety manual and authorities.
• Ensure projects built according to plans and codes with high quality standards.
• Review, maintain and update construction schedule; meet milestones.
• Plan and execute system completion and turnover.
• Maintain and submit hourly timesheets for job costing/reporting.
• Prepare field change orders signed by project owner/representative.
• Review invoices vs field purchase orders; report discrepancies.
• Manage safety and performance of subtrade work.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
