Job summary

Ledcor Kingston, ON seeks a Senior Superintendent to oversee day-to-day field operations on power utility construction projects. You will drive project plans, PQP conformance, and safety program development while mentoring multiple teams.

The role requires extensive powerline construction experience with strong scheduling, budgeting, and leadership capabilities in diverse environments. Travel and site-based duties are expected.

Qualifications

• 15 years of powerline construction experience and 5+ years as a superintendent.
• Post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Thorough understanding of utilities construction practices, documents, contracts, costs and budgets.
• Ability to plan and manage a project schedule, anticipating constructability issues, and lead solutions.
• Strong communication and mentoring of diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure projects are built according to approved plans, specs and codes; lead PQP conformance.
• Lead development of the Project Specific Safety Program (PSSP) and incident investigations.
• Update construction schedule for large/multi-discipline projects and meet milestones.
• Estimate activity durations and materials for large estimates and pursuits; support schedule development.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to project staff and superintendents across teams.
• Participate in subcontract and supplier selection, procurement and negotiations.
