Sargent & Lundy is seeking a senior Instrument and Controls Design Engineer to lead a team focused on nuclear I&C projects across Canada and the US. You will interface with discipline engineers, designers, and clients to ensure all requirements are met while guiding project execution and technical risk management.

The role requires 7+ years in design engineering for process control systems, with nuclear plant experience preferred.

Qualifications

BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board-accredited program or a US ABET-accredited program.
Minimum 7 years of design engineering experience for process control systems; nuclear plant experience preferred.
Experience with power plant instrumentation and controls design for Candu reactors, including DCS.

Responsabilités

Lead a team of nuclear I&C engineers and interface with discipline engineers and designers on the Project Team and with the client to satisfy requirements.
Interface with vendors and prepare equipment purchase specifications.
Prepare instrument data sheets and wiring diagrams and participate in design input documentation for drawings.
Attend client meetings and perform site walkdowns to ensure client satisfaction with deliverables.
Provide mentorship to less experienced nuclear instrumentation and controls design engineers.
