Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a senior Instrumentation & Controls engineer for its Ontario operations. The role focuses on I&C design, documents, and rigorous project collaboration across internal and external stakeholders within a nuclear context.

Ideal candidates hold a P.Eng in Ontario, a BS Honors in I&C/Electrical/Automation, and 10+ years in CANDU I&C design, with familiarity in AS7/AS9 systems and QA programs. Hybrid work culture and strong development support are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in I&C/Electrical/Automation engineering is required.
• Registered Professional Engineer in Ontario is required/preferred.
• 10+ years in conceptual, preliminary, or detailed design of CANDU I&C systems emphasized.
• Experience with I&C vendors is an asset.
• Familiarity with AS7/AS9 and QA processes and CSA/IEEE codes is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Define instrument/control specifications, EQR, sizing and selection; produce component documentation.
• Track schedules and deadlines; resolve technical issues; guide the team; engage stakeholders.
• Prepare/update I&C engineering design documents and related analyses.
• Prepare, review and approve preliminary design walkdown and OPEX reports.
• Contribute to drawing office inputs for general arrangement, instrument loops, wiring diagrams and BOMs.
