Job summary

Chartwell Retirement Residences in Ottawa is seeking a Sales Consultant / Retirement Living Consultant to guide prospective residents and families through decisions, driving occupancy and fostering a welcoming environment. You’ll lead the end-to-end sales process, manage CRM records in Yardi, build referral networks, represent Chartwell at local events, and collaborate with Marketing to plan outreach.

Qualifications

• Proven sales ability with a consultative approach.
• Experience in senior living or service-focused environment is an asset.
• Experience using CRM systems (Yardi preferred).
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and meet timelines.
• Customer-focused, empathetic, and professional in all interactions.
• Computer literate, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Knowledge of the local community and surrounding area is a plus.
• Valid Driver’s License, or reliable means of transportation.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end sales from inquiry to move-in with timely follow-up and high conversion rates.
• Maintain accurate prospect records in Yardi CRM and use insights to guide sales priorities.
• Build and nurture referral networks and community partnerships to generate leads.
• Represent Chartwell at events to increase visibility and drive local engagement.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth and welcoming resident experience.
• Partner with Marketing on promotional events and materials.
• Contribute to leadership meetings, strategic planning, and participate in Manager on Duty rotation.
