Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is seeking a Dining Room Supervisor to lead dining room operations for residents, ensuring exceptional service and adherence to standards. You will report to the Culinary Manager and guide staff to deliver quality meals and experiences.

This role requires a hospitality background, strong people skills, and a commitment to ethical care. Eligible candidates should have Safe Serve and applicable hospitality training, with at least three years in fine dining or hotel service.

Qualifications

• Graduate of recognized course in Food & Beverage/Hospitality.
• Completion of courses in service management, guest relations, HR or equivalent.
• Safe Serve (Ontario) or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years experience in hotel or restaurant fine dining service.
• Ability to manage staff and resources.
• Excellent human relations skills and English communication.

Responsibilities

• Directs and supervises dining room activities to provide high-level service.
• Monitors shift routines, workflow, performance and service quality.
• Recruits and orients dining room staff, schedules and approves leaves.
• Provides job analysis and role functions for dietary personnel.
• Supervises, coaches and evaluates dining room staff for productivity.
• Resolves personnel issues or refers unresolved matters to Food Services.
• Works in a position of trust with residents and upholds ethics.
• Completes other duties as assigned.
