Job summary

AgeCare Mount Royal is seeking a Recreation Aide to plan, implement, and evaluate resident-centered recreation programs. You will work with the Recreation Manager and Executive Director to create engaging activities and support planning, transport, and documentation as needed.

The role requires a Diploma in Recreation or related field, with preference for senior-care experience and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Recreation, Leisure Studies, Gerontology, or related field (required).
• Experience with seniors in recreation/healthcare settings is an asset.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordination, and delivery of recreation programs.
• Create welcoming, inclusive environments to foster resident participation.
• Support assessments and evaluate engagement and program effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate documentation of participation and notes.
• Collaborate with Recreation Manager and Executive Director to execute programs.
