Job summary

Citi Canada is seeking a senior Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst to drive architectural design and modernization of enterprise systems using Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3.x, Kafka, and cloud-native patterns.

You will lead technical teams, govern design, and partner with Product Owners to deliver scalable microservices, secure RESTful APIs, and robust CI/CD pipelines in hybrid cloud environments.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering and enterprise applications experience.
• Strong Java 17+ and Spring Boot 4.x experience.
• Experience with Kafka, Oracle DB, and cloud/container tooling.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical lead, conduct code reviews and coach engineers.
• Drive sprint planning, backlogs, and risk assessment with POs/PMs.
• Lead end-to-end design of cloud-native microservices with Java 17+ and Spring Boot.
• Ensure secure RESTful APIs and enterprise API governance.
