Job summary

Citi in Mississauga, Canada, is seeking an Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst for the Money Markets domain. Lead architecture, design, and the modernization of treasury platforms using Java, Spring Boot, and MongoDB in a cloud-native environment.

You will mentor developers, drive high-throughput microservices, and partner with business desks to deliver compliant, scalable solutions across the trade lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 10+ years hands-on application development and technical leadership in financial services.
• Deep Java (Java 17+) and Spring Boot expertise.
• Strong MongoDB experience: data modeling, aggregation, indexing, sharding, performance tuning.
• Understanding Money Markets, treasury accounting concepts, PnL and accrual calculations.
• Experience integrating trading and treasury platforms with ledger systems.
• Cloud-native architecture with observability (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
• CI/CD pipelines, Git, Scrum/Agile, and JIRA.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and deployment of high-throughput, low-latency systems for Money Market trading and lifecycle management.
• Partner with Markets Treasury desks, product managers, and leadership to align tech with business goals.
• Provide SME guidance on modern architecture and ensure security and cloud-native compliance.
• Diagnose and optimize performance; evaluate data flows, MongoDB pipelines, and APIs.
• Establish standards for testing, debugging, and automated deployments.
• Mentor junior developers and foster continuous learning.
• Assess risk and ensure regulatory compliance in technology solutions.
