Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Hydraulic Engineer for Canada-based roles, with hybrid work arrangements. You will lead hydraulic projects across hydroelectric, pumped-storage, dams, and related infrastructure, applying advanced modelling and design skills.

Requirements include a Civil Engineering degree, P.Eng/OIQ eligibility, 15+ years in hydraulic design, and fluency in French. Master’s degree and Flow-3D/Simsen are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with water resources focus.
• P.E. or eligible for registration; OIQ member preferred.
• Minimum 15 years’ hydraulic design, modelling, and dam safety experience.
• Strong report writing and communication skills; French fluency is essential.
• Proficiency with MS Office and hydraulic software.

Responsibilities

• Lead discipline-specific assignments and coordinate engineers and teams.
• Prepare technical reports and calculation packages for hydraulic projects.
• Design and assess hydropower developments and hydraulic structures.
• Perform 1D/2D/3D hydraulic modelling and dam breach analyses.
• Provide technical oversight and mentorship to staff.
