Job summary

CIMA+ is seeking a Senior Overhead Transmission Lines Engineer to join our Energy & Resources team in Canada. You will design high‑voltage overhead lines, poles, and foundations (60kV–500kV) and lead multi-disciplinary design efforts.

You will prepare technical documentation, estimates, and schedules, while ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Hybrid work arrangement with two days in the office is available.

Qualifications

• University degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of fifteen years of experience or over 10 years as a fully certified engineer.
• Registered member of a Professional Engineering association in Canada, or eligible for registration.
• Proficient with the PLS-CADD suite design/analysis software and CAD systems.
• Effective communication abilities in English; French is an asset.
• Construction/Field work experience is required.
• Integrity, teamwork and commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead project design team for high voltage overhead lines (60kV to 500kV).
• Design transmission line structures and foundations; develop criteria from multi-disciplinary inputs.
• Prepare design documents, estimates, reports and tests per practices.
• Provide signed/sealed deliverables as Professional of Record per regulations.
• Mentor junior staff and review designs for quality and compliance.
• Lead safe engineering solutions on complex projects and coordinate scheduling and cost.
