Job summary

GHD in Canada Central is seeking a Senior Health and Safety Professional to lead HSE initiatives across a diverse portfolio of projects in Ontario and beyond. You will work with the HSE team to ensure regulatory compliance and foster a proactive safety culture across regional offices and sites.

The role requires 8–10 years of safety experience in construction or environmental services, with CRSP/NCSO designations being an asset.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Health and Safety.
• 8–10 years of health and safety experience, preferably in construction or environmental services.
• CRSP designation or NCSO certification is an asset.
• Knowledge of Canadian occupational health and safety laws and standards.

Responsibilities

• Support Regional HSE Manager in delivering HSE Management System initiatives.
• Provide guidance to project teams to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Lead investigations into incidents and near misses with root-cause analysis.
• Coordinate and support COR audits and safety training programs.
• Develop and implement health, safety, and environment plans and risk controls.
• Promote positive HSE culture and accountability across the organization.
