Job summary

Geosource Energy Inc. in Ancaster, ON is seeking a Health & Safety Manager to enforce OHSA compliance, develop policies, deliver training and lead audits across our projects.

You will advance hazard recognition, lead JHSC activities, and investigate incidents, leveraging 5+ years in safety and certifications such as CRSP/CSP/NCSO. This is a 100% in-person role with travel to GTA and U.S. sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field is required.
• CRSP, CSP, or NCSO certifications preferred.
• JHSC Level II certification and experience with Joint Health and Safety Committees.
• Minimum 5 years in a Health and Safety role.
• Demonstrated experience in the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of Ontario OHSA and related regulations.

Responsibilities

• Enforce company H&S policies and ensure OHSA compliance across jurisdictions.
• Develop, revise and implement health and safety policies aligned with Ontario standards.
• Design, develop and deliver site-specific safety training programs.
• Promote hazard recognition and risk assessment practices.
• Create audit checklists and conduct regular site inspections.
• Collect, analyze and report on health and safety performance metrics.
• Lead investigations into incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Stay current with provincial health and safety regulations and best practices.
• Manage the JHSC ensuring legislative compliance.
• Lead H&S meetings and communicate updates to management and staff.
• Represent the company with regulatory agencies on health and safety matters.
• Provide guidance on safety matters to support operations outside Ontario, including the U.S.
