Job summary

Affirm is seeking a senior frontend engineer to own the quarterly goals for a cross-functional team. You will drive implementation of major web features, modernize our web codebase with React/TypeScript, and collaborate with product, design, analytics, and other engineering teams to deliver high-impact solutions.

You will work remotely in Canada with a strong emphasis on scalable design, code quality, and a proactive ownership culture.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience developing and architecting web applications using declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue.
• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience collaborating across multiple teams and driving horizontal initiatives with leadership.
• Ability to define technical plans for major features with quality, extensible design.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver quarterly goals for your team, guiding engineers through ambiguity to solve open-ended problems.
• Collaborate with product management, design & analytics during ideation and decision-making.
• Identify and lead solutions for project, process, tech, or business issues.
• Support team operations, monitor metrics, and participate in on-call activities.
• Set and improve code review and design standards across the team.
