Job summary

Nature’s Path in Delta, BC is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee daily operations, ensure safety, quality, and efficiency, and lead a strong shift team in a fast-paced food manufacturing facility.

You will supervise and develop staff, drive lean initiatives, maintain GMP/HACCP standards, and coordinate with the Plant Manager on maintenance and scheduling to meet production goals. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years’ experience as a Team Lead or Supervisor in a fast-paced environment.
• 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food manufacturing.
• Good working knowledge in GMP, HACCP and other food quality & safety regulations.
• Ability to effectively communicate at all levels within the organization.
• Strong business acumen, judgment, diplomacy and discretion.
• Strong organization, multi-tasking, prioritization and time management skills.
• Basic understanding of safety procedures.
• Must be familiar with manufacturing control and scheduling software.
• Strong computer literacy with Microsoft Office.
• Excellent attendance is a must; available to work weekends, evenings and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and coordinating employees on shift in Delta to execute NP’s core operating processes, including GMPs, SOPs, supply management, TQM and LEAN; ensure quality product, value, and profitability.
• Ensure production for a shift is on schedule and within budget.
• Coordinate preventative maintenance with Plant Manager to optimize equipment performance.
• Incorporate lean practices for continuous improvement to maximize efficiencies.
• Conduct daily transition meetings to ensure production is on schedule and within budget; adjust as needed.
• Conduct monthly Crew Talks to keep safety top of mind.
• Assist Plant Manager with recruitment, training, performance reviews and staff development.
• Support adherence to Nature’s Path’s policies; act as Lean champion and mentor Lead Hands.
• Maintain safe and healthy work environment and ensure equipment reliability; train staff accordingly.
