Job summary

TalentSphere Staffing Solutions is assisting a well-established food manufacturing company in the Greater Toronto Area in hiring a Production Supervisor. The role oversees daily production activities, ensuring safety, efficiency, and adherence to quality standards in a fast-paced setting.

The supervisor will lead a team, coordinate schedules, monitor processes for food safety, and collaborate with inventory, shipping, and quality teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of supervisory experience in food manufacturing or related production environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and employee coaching skills.
• Knowledge of GMP, food safety programs, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Experience coordinating production schedules and managing workflow priorities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and coordinate daily production schedules based on demand and capacity.
• Supervise production employees to ensure quality and on-time delivery.
• Monitor compliance with food safety requirements and quality standards.
• Verify adherence to production procedures, specifications, and work instructions.
• Support quality control, sanitation, maintenance, and compliance programs.
• Coordinate with inventory, shipping, receiving, and quality teams for smooth material flow.
• Enforce SOPs and promote safety and continuous improvement culture.
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
• Train and coach production staff to improve performance and quality.
• Assist with inventory control and general housekeeping in production and warehouse areas.
• Provide cross-departmental operational support as needed.
