Job summary

OPTrust in Toronto (Hybrid) seeks a Trader/Principal for Fixed Income and FX within the TPM group. Develop strategies, manage risk and execute trades across derivatives and cash products on a cross-asset team.

The role offers broad exposure to multiple asset classes, collaborative decision-making, and the opportunity to contribute to a purpose-driven pension organization that pays pensions today and preserves them for tomorrow.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant trading and portfolio management experience.
• Broad knowledge of derivatives and financial products, pricing and risk management.
• Proficiency in Python, VBA and SQL; Bloomberg experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Develop fixed income and global FX strategies to generate alpha.
• Actively manage the Plan's liability hedging program.
• Execute trades in derivatives and cash products within a cross-asset team.
• Prepare investment and trade reporting including cost analyses.
• Collaborate with risk, finance, legal, middle office and compliance teams.
