Job summary

OPTrust is seeking a Trader/Principal for Fixed Income and FX to join the Investment Division. In a fast-paced, cross-functional team, you will develop and implement fixed income and currency strategies, manage liability hedging programs, and execute trades across markets.

You will contribute to risk management, pricing, and portfolio analytics while interfacing with risk, finance and compliance teams. The role offers broad exposure to asset classes, a collaborative culture, and a hybrid work

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in a quantitative field is expected.
• 5+ years of trading and portfolio management experience.
• Broad knowledge of derivatives, pricing and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Develop fixed income (Canada & US) and global FX strategies to generate alpha.
• Manage liabilities hedging program and collateral exposures.
• Execute trades across derivative and cash products within a cross-asset team.
• Produce investment and trade reporting and cost analysis.
• Collaborate with risk, finance, legal, middle office and compliance groups.
