Job summary

Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP) is seeking a Senior Analyst in Toronto to lead derivatives and capital markets trade processing within Securities Operations. You will review and approve trades, ensure data integrity, and guide junior staff on complex strategies.

The role collaborates with Investment Management, fund custodians and IT, requires 7+ years in financial markets, and strong knowledge of fixed income, equities and derivatives.

Qualifications

• University degree in Business, Finance or related field; CFA designation preferred.
• 7+ years in financial markets, with capital markets experience.
• Strong knowledge of fixed income, equities and derivatives; experience with derivatives strategies.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve daily trade capture for fixed income, equities and derivatives.
• Lead understanding of complex derivative strategies to Analysts.
• Review derivative cash settlements and reconcile custodial positions.
• Coordinate with Investment Management, custodians and IT on issues and initiatives.
• Provide guidance to junior staff and ensure daily controls are signed off.
