Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead multi-discipline cost estimates and construction schedules for large electrical infrastructure projects worldwide. You will work with a dynamic team of estimators, schedulers, and engineers to deliver defensible, integrated cost baselines for complex projects.

The role emphasizes hydroelectric generation, substations, switchyards, and transmission infrastructure, with travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 10+ years combined experience in estimating and construction.
• Experience with hydroelectric or power infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate development of multi-discipline cost estimates and schedules.
• Coordinate input from estimating disciplines into a single cost estimate.
• Develop detailed estimates for generators, substations, transformers, and distribution systems.
• Prepare estimate execution plans and labor-force work plans.
• Provide support for procurement, change, and claims valuation.
• Identify risks and opportunities and support risk analyses as required.
• Interface with management and clients for estimating tasks.
• Maintain awareness of industry trends and improve estimate quality.
