Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Estimator to develop, manage, and coordinate large multi-discipline infrastructure cost estimates and construction schedules. You will lead a team of discipline estimators across civil, mechanical, electrical, and other disciplines on projects ranging from millions to billions of dollars worldwide.

The role emphasizes hydro, water infrastructure, and mechanical systems estimating, with opportunities to support municipal, provincial, federal, and utility programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Construction Management, Operations Management, Business Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of combined experience in an estimating and construction role.
• Experience with hydropower, water treatment, wastewater treatment, pumping systems, process mechanical systems, or major water infrastructure projects is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the development of multi-discipline cost estimates and construction schedules.
• Coordinate input from estimating disciplines into a single cost estimate.
• Prepare basis of cost estimate reports for end users.
• Develop estimate execution plans and labor-force work plans.
• Support procurement, change and claims negotiations.
• Interface with management and clients for estimating tasks.
• Identify risks and opportunities and contribute to risk analyses.
• Review design documents to identify risks and opportunities for pricing.
