Responsibilities

• Support the Product Development Director in leading strategic initiatives to reduce cost and schedule for new development programs.
• Develop strategies and roadmaps to achieve cost and schedule objectives.
• Foster a data analytics approach, integrating AI and digitalization to develop optimal solutions, tools, and process improvements, positioning Bombardier as a leader in new product development.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute cross-functional team scopes.
• Propose and implement technical innovations based on industry trends through advanced design and strategic technology.
• Recommend cost-effective engineering solutions through knowledge domains and programs.
• Participate in decision-making and rule-setting within areas of expertise.
• Collect and share lessons learned with knowledge domains across community programs.
• Coordinate product upgrades and technology insertions with sustaining product program management.
• Understand and adhere to the new product development process, including TRL, maturity & exit gate criteria, BES, and program management standards.
• Influence product planning strategy by maintaining awareness of technological and performance landscapes, including non-Bombardier models.
• Perform RoM business cases and statements of work for technical studies, leading aircraft studies with multidisciplinary inputs and funding identification.

How to thrive in this role?

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering; a PhD related to a relevant field is a plus.
• Over 15 years of relevant aerospace engineering experience.
• Experience in at least two development programs.
• Expertise in one or more areas of aerospace engineering.
• International reputation is highly recommended.
• Advanced knowledge of program management for product development and familiarity with various aircraft systems and regulations.
