Position Summary : Our government client is seeking a Senior SharePoint Security Specialist skilled in the M365 product suite. The successful candidate will focus on the security aspects of SharePoint, implement security measures, and support IT security processes. This is a remote position with a contract length until March 31, 2025, with the possibility of extension.

Contract Length : Immediate until March 31, 2025, with potential extension

Clearance Requirement : Mandatory Secret

Responsibilities :

• Implement SharePoint security measures to support IT security processes.
• Interpret solution design documents to develop SharePoint solutions.
• Review existing SharePoint structures and provide solutions to improve security posture.
• Apply changes to SharePoint for improved control over stored data.
• Support a cloud team in the installation of SharePoint patches.
• Enable, disable, and configure SharePoint features.
• Manage SharePoint permissions and limit user access to specific locations, folders, and documents.

Requirements :

• Must have 10+ years experience with the past 15 years (mandatory 5 years Government experience).
• Must have a minimum of 1 project where they worked with a MS Dynamics based System.
• Must have at least 5 years of cumulative experience leading the development of technical architectures, frameworks and strategies for large-scale project for Government of Canada departments, agencies or crown corporations.
• Work in both official languages French and English (documents in English, meetings and discussions in both official languages).
• Extensive experience focusing on the security aspects of SharePoint.
• Proven experience implementing SharePoint security measures to support IT security processes.
• Ability to interpret solution design documents and develop SharePoint solutions accordingly.
• Experience in reviewing and improving SharePoint security posture.
• Expertise in applying changes to SharePoint for better data control.
• Experience supporting cloud teams with SharePoint patch installations.
• Ability to enable, disable, and configure SharePoint features effectively.
• Knowledge of SharePoint permissions management and user access control.

Abilities :

• Document solution designs and their implementation.
• Create and perform functional, sanity, and performance testing.
• Provide knowledge transfer and training to staff.
