Job Title: Flight Test Engineering Specialist

Location: Mirabel – Hybrid Mode (3 days a week onsite)

Being part of the Flight and Integration Test team for the A220, the Flight Test Engineering Specialist is a test integrator and a technical referent, acting from early design up to certification.

The Flight Test Engineering Specialist is a key factor in testing activities, working closely with the flight test crew. They serve as the strong link between all stakeholders (design office, crew, testers, programs) and ensure operational integration into the design.

This role requires an integrated and transverse view across different ATA chapters and test campaigns, enabling optimization of testing campaigns and harmonization of processes and strategies.

This position reports to the Head of Department Test and Analysis (ABIVV) within the Flight and Integration Test Center (ABIV).

Responsibilities:

1. You develop the test strategy (development and certification).
2. You contribute to the design and operational procedures.
3. You serve as the technical and operational referent for flight test engineers (FTE) and pilots.
4. You organize briefings and debriefings of the tests.
5. You ensure the preparation and safety of the tests.
6. You participate in integration tests.
7. You ensure extensive collaboration between engineering, flight test, and flight line teams.
8. You build and share your expertise with the design office, crews, testers, and authorities.
9. You validate and optimize the planning of tests.
10. You participate in the coordination of activities.
11. You help to set up the processes and tools for the future flight test and integration center.
12. You are aware of the Certification rules (CAR521/525, CS25, FAR33&25, CSE, CRI, AMC, etc.).

Requirements:

1. You have a Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering at minimum.
2. You have good knowledge in the field of Systems and Cross-Systems Integration.
3. You have strong experience in flight and ground testing.
4. You have engineering experience in one or more aircraft development programs.
5. You are resourceful and able to find creative solutions, adapting to rapidly changing situations and emerging obstacles.
6. You can work to strict timescales as part of an integrated, multidisciplinary team.
7. You can work under pressure.
8. You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with subject matter experts on technical and operational topics.
9. You can effectively present your strategy and influence representatives of the product change board and senior management.
10. Having a Pilot License and experience on complex aircraft is an asset.
11. Experience in Project Management is a plus.
