Job summary

Stantec seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design for water and wastewater projects from planning through post-construction. You will act as the discipline lead, drive technical excellence, and mentor junior staff while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

You’ll manage scope, budgets, and schedules, develop drawings and specifications, perform power system studies, and liaise with clients and contractors on challenging infrastructure programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and professional licensure.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and building codes; experience in water/wastewater projects.
• Prior leadership of multidisciplinary design teams and project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design and engineering across project phases from planning to construction.
• Develop electrical drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Perform power systems studies (load flow, short circuit, coordination, arc flash).
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate with other disciplines and stakeholders.
• Oversee construction phase services and client communications.
